CCC Brief Mission Statement

The mission of the Christian College Consortium (CCC) is to serve the cause of Christ in the world of higher education by encouraging and assisting members in the pursuit of their respective missions.

Dr. Andrew Westmoreland was selected to serve as President of the Christian College Consortium in 2023.

Westmoreland retired as President of Samford University in Birmingham, Alabama in 2021, after a successful tenure of 15 years. Prior to his time at Samford, Westmoreland served as President of Ouachita Baptist University in Arkansas from 1998 until 2006.

He is the past chair of the Board of Trustees for the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges, which oversees accreditation for more than 800 colleges and universities from Virginia to Texas. His past board service includes banking, health care, and non-profit organizations. Westmoreland is currently an at-large member of the Board of Directors of the Council for Christian Colleges and Universities. He also offers support to colleges and universities in executive search. Westmoreland holds undergraduate and graduate degrees in political science and a doctorate in higher education administration.
